The first two days focus on the skills necessary to pass the AAERT Certification Test. Course lessons include:
- Basic E-Reporting and E-Transcribing
- History of Court Reporting and Judicial Systems
- Outline of Court Proceedings
- Analog and Digital technology
- Legal terminology
- Industry etiquette and expectations
Each seminar recipient will receive a copy of the AAERT Study Guide, and a Seminar Manual.
On the third day of the seminar AAERT will administer an official AAERT Certification Test. Only those attending the seminar may take the AAERT Certification Test on these dates.
** AAERT Certification Test must be registered and payment made separately through AAERT at AAERT.org. Test takers must be members of AAERT and meet eligibility of AAERT for Certification Testing. AAERT Certification Test available to Seminar participants only.
***EXCEPTION: When the Certification Seminar is conducted in conjunction with the AAERT Conference (ie. June 22 - 24 in Miami,FL)the AAERT Certification tests are available to any member.
This seminar is for the E-Reporter and/or E-Transcriber who is ready to obtain their professional AAERT Certification. They have experience in the E-Reporting Industry using either Analog or Digital reporting equipment.
